Conference Producer – Santa Cruz, CA

We are seeking a conference producer to specialize in business research, project management and the planning and execution of educational conferences and/or webinars. You will research and compile intellectual content for conference programs on the cutting edge of business strategy in the finance and healthcare fields. You will be responsible for structuring the conference agenda as a result of live research with senior managers from a cross section of companies, selecting and inviting high-level speakers. You'll also be responsible for the copy writing of promotional materials, and ensuring the profitability of each conference. This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated self-starter because you take complete ownership of each conference from the initial conference idea to the final successful event.

This is NOT a meeting planning position. Prior experience in the financial, healthcare or meeting/conference industry is not required. Liberal arts graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualities & Skills Required:

  • Ability to transform research into high-performing conference agendas; top-notch research and analytical abilities a must
  • Talent for assimilating complex information quickly
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Exceptional time management skills - ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
